Sensuous Apples

Mmmmmm. I walk inside and spot my desire. I walk over to take a closer look. The selection is sooooo appealing. I take in their curves, so smooth from stem to base. Their skins look shiny in their hues of greens, reds, and yellows.

I'm impressed by the differing sizes. Some are as small as plum tomatoes, and then they range up in size. The largest ones are softball sized. I'm roused by how many varieties their are.

Some are contained within bushels, while others are displayed in wooden crates lined with straw. I see a few people milling around, picking up the sampling slices and smelling and tasting the offerings.

... to be continued ... (I've decided to explore how we perceive the world through our five senses. Over the next few days my posts will reflect a description of apples through another one of the five senses. Can you tell which sense I focused on today?)
