PipKins

Here’s a sample of some of the wonderful things I see in my dreams.

-----------

I’m walking through a luscious green garden, overflowing with low shrubs that are rich with foliage. I appear to be in a spacious green house, and I notice that it is dark outside. I assume it is night time. I’m on a greyish cobblestone pathway that winds its way through the bushes.

I glance ahead of me and am startled to see an older, heavier set woman dressed in garb that reminds me of Obi Wan Kanobi. She has short grey hair hanging in loose curls around her face and fair skin that is mildly wrinkled.  She is holding a strange looking apparatus collecting reddish-brown creatures that are pickle-sized and look like a cross between a slug and a squid. She currently has a creature sucked up in what appears to be a vacuum nozzle hooked up to a dark chocolate colored carpet bag. 4 inch tentacles are waving around at the tip of this nozzle. She looks up at me, also surprised to see me. (If you’ve ever seen the movie Epic, this woman’s device reminds of the fairy-capturing machine M.K.’s father used.)

As we stare at one another we slowly begin to back track in our steps. As I step back I peer down towards my left foot as something catches my eye. At first I don’t recognize what it is, and then I stand there beginning to disbelieve what my eyes are seeing. It looks like a small, Smurf-sized snowman made out of rounded, grey stones instead of snow. It has HUGE innocent looking eyes looking up at me. This troll-like creature is wearing a cute dress in the colors of baby blue and pink. As I search my mind for the name to call this little creature I begin to realize that more and more of the more of them are popping out from under the shrubs and surrounding me.

Now the other woman is beginning to approach me, curious to know what these little creatures are. Next I am caught off guard as these PipKins (YES! That’s their name. PipKins!!) commence to de-materialize into spheres of different colored lights. The balls of light begin crawling (if light could crawl) up my body and under my clothes. I know if these entities were insects I’d be squirming as they touched my skin. However I was starting to feel energized instead.

I now notice that my feet are no longer in contact with the ground and I am feeling lighter and lighter. Am I actually floating? I look down at the older woman, whose blank look transforms into one of fright. I observe that the spheres of light are now rings and sparks orbiting my physical form. There is also the outline of a pentagram contained within a circle imprinted on my palms. Light energy is flowing out of my palms and energizing the greenery below me as I fly light Peter Pan over the bushes and other plants in this enormous greenhouse.

I land lightly at the far end of this glass encased paradise amused and delighted at the experience I just had, wondering if I could do it again. I am curious.
